Apprentices develop new modular production system

Under the leadership of apprentice trainer Gregor Gspurning, a total of seven apprentices from the two fields of mechanical and electrical engineering invested more than 1,500 working hours in the planning, programming and commissioning of a new FESTO MPS station. There were several to-do’s behind the construction of the modular production system:

  • Determination and implementation of the required security level
  • Preparation of electrical circuit diagrams
  • Design and wiring of electrical components
  • Programming of the system controls
  • Preparation of pneumatic plans
  • Mechanical design or adaptation of the stations and their components

At the end of the project, the apprentices created a video of the MPS Station on their own initiative.
